Hi, I’m Rick. I am a reclusive gay pagan and writer, living with my husband in a secluded cottage in the Pocono Mountains. We have been together over 20 years and were married in 2016. We have a small circle of friends that we don’t get to see as often as we’d like.
I have a dark and melancholy nature, my friends will tell you that I’m “the quiet one”. On very rare occasions, I offer tarot readings or classes to the local public, but I am still very much an introvert. I have written a few books and several articles for pagan magazines. In the past I have taught several classes and workshops on various topics related to witchcraft and paganism. These days I have a preference for solitude and limited social interaction. The world is going insane and the less I have to deal with it the better.
Shadowscapes is my personal blog, where I share about my life and things that are important to me. It is a fitting title, as I am someone who prefers to dwell in the shadows, the darkened corners and hidden places.
I struggle with anxiety on a regular basis, but there are many things that help me deal with it. I enjoy writing, creative projects, British comedies, music and meditation. I also love dark chocolate, coffee, Earl Grey tea and I’m a bit obsessed with John Cena.
I hope you enjoy your stay here. If you’d like to receive my posts via email, click the “Subscribe” button on the right.
